Requirements
Must:
- 10 years of experience building and leading distributed engineering teams across multiple regions.
- Proven experience in leading leaders, not just individual contributors.
- A track record of scaling high-throughput distributed systems in production.
- Strong background in early-stage B2B SaaS, ideally in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, or offensive security tools.
- Deep technical expertise in:
- Cloud: AWS, Azure
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, Ansible
- Platforms: Kubernetes (EKS), ECS, Docker, Lambda, Airflow
- Observability: EFK, Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger/OpenTelemetry
- Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kafka
- Pipelines: GitHub Actions, AWS CodeBuild
- Runtimes: Python, Node.js, Golang
- Strong networking fundamentals, particularly in OSI layer 3 and distributed performance optimization.
- Experience operating global/multi-region cloud infrastructure, managing cost, risk, and data sovereignty.
- Comfort engaging with senior business stakeholders in fast-scaling environments.
- Proven ability to develop high-performing, high-ownership engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead, grow, and structure a multi-region Platform Engineering organization.
- Architect and scale a distributed scanning and data-processing platform powering thousands of global workloads.
- Drive DevOps maturity, improving deployment speed, change failure rates, and time-to-recovery across all services.
- Own cloud and infrastructure strategy across AWS/Azure, focusing on security, performance, cost, and global regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Product, Security, and Engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable capabilities.
- Define and evolve platform architecture encompassing networking, observability, storage, workflow orchestration, and multi/hybrid-cloud.
- Champion engineering best practices, such as Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, secure-by-default principles, and documentation excellence.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, reliability, and operational excellence.
