Requirements
Must:
- Strong knowledge of ICT infrastructure (networking, virtualization, messaging, storage, cloud, and security).
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure/M365, including design, deployment, and maintenance.
- Experience in high availability, multi-site environments.
- Strong project planning and delivery skills.
- Knowledge of disaster recovery, WAN/LAN design, and directory integrations.
- Line management or mentoring experience.
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex issues into user-friendly language.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure/365, VMware, Citrix, CCNP, ITIL) or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development, security, and resilience of our ICT infrastructure at Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG).
- Act as the product expert for Azure/M365 and on-premise solutions.
- Own and manage ICT cyber security processes, including incident response.
- Mentor and supervise the ICT Infrastructure Engineer and the wider technology team.
- Lead data backup, replication, and disaster recovery testing.
- Provide final line (4th line) technical support for escalated issues.
- Scope, plan, and deliver ICT infrastructure projects.
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend strategic solutions.
- Ensure compliance with ICT policies, accreditations, and risk management processes.
Description
Are you an experienced IT professional with a passion for infrastructure, cloud solutions, and cyber security? We are looking for a talented IT Infrastructure Lead to join our team at Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG). In this hands-on leadership role, you will take charge of managing and enhancing our IT infrastructure across cloud, on-premise, networking, and security. Working closely with our IT Manager, you will help us deliver our IT Strategy, ensuring that our systems are secure, resilient, and fit for the future. You will also play a key role in disaster recovery, risk management, and ensuring compliance with IT best practices. Please note that this role is advertised on a hybrid basis, requiring a minimum of 3 days a week on-site. A UK Driver's license and access to your own vehicle is essential.
