Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in a Second Line IT Engineer role or similar.
- Strong customer focus and a genuine desire to provide quality service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player who contributes to a collaborative working environment.
- Understanding of ITIL and Cyber Essentials frameworks.
- Proficiency in endpoint support for Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac devices.
- Experience in managing and supporting Microsoft 365 products (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune).
- Knowledge of Azure resources management, including Azure Session Desktops and Azure files.
- Competence in Windows Server administration (Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS).
- Solid understanding of network infrastructure (DNS, Wi-Fi, VLANs, VPNs) with troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with VOIP technologies, particularly Microsoft Teams telephony, and its integration within the MSP environment.
Responsibilities
- Handle escalated issues from first-line support that require advanced technical expertise.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting for hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
- Coordinate with third-line engineers or external vendors when necessary to resolve complex issues.
- Ensure effective communication when escalating issues, providing all necessary details for fast resolution.
- Conduct root cause analysis on recurring complex issues to prevent future occurrences.
- Provide reports and documentation on findings to management and other teams for review and corrective action.
- Ensure that all incidents and requests are addressed in accordance with established SLAs.
- Adhere to compliance, security, and quality assurance guidelines during troubleshooting and system changes.
Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Second Line IT Engineer to join our busy helpdesk team. In this role, you will serve as a primary escalation point to ensure the resolution of tickets and changes within contracted service levels. You will also be tasked with remediating vulnerabilities and applying security configurations, providing high-level technical support to a wide range of users across different industries. Your commitment to resolving complex incidents and requests will be essential, as will contributing to maintenance and project initiatives that enhance our customer platforms and services.
