Senior IT Technician

- I require you to have 5+ years of experience in an IT support role, with at least 2 years at a senior or advanced technician level, preferably in an outsourced or managed IT services environment. - Experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is essential. - Strong technical proficiency is expected, including hands-on experience with: - Implementing Microsoft Defender & Entra ID, configuring conditional access policies, and responding to incidents. - Backup Administration: Setting up, deploying, and maintaining reliable backup solutions for data security and recovery. - Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory administration. - Networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs. - Cloud services such as Azure, AWS, or similar. - Virtualisation technologies like VMware and Hyper-V. - End-user device management (Windows, Mac, and mobile OS). - You should have experience with cybersecurity fundamentals, including firewall configurations, antivirus management, multi-factor authentication, and basic incident response. - Proven problem-solving skills are necessary, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently or as part of a team. - While not required, relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Microsoft Azure certifications, or Cisco CCNA are advantageous. - Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a client-focused approach to technical support, are crucial. - Strong organizational skills are needed to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple client needs in a fast-paced environment. - Experience with assisting or leading technical projects, such as system migrations or infrastructure upgrades, is beneficial.
