Requirements
Must:
- Recognized IT Security qualifications (CISMP, CISSP, CASP) or working towards them
- At least 3 years of experience in an IT role with IT security responsibilities
- Experience dealing with vulnerabilities, risks, and threats
- Full UK driving license is essential
- Ability to participate in an on-call rota (1 in 3)
- Strong awareness of emerging IT security standards and innovations
- Expertise in IT security procedures and practices
- Experience in conducting vulnerability assessments and risk assessments
- Capable of managing complex IT Security systems and services
- Effective communication skills for liaising with stakeholders and third parties
Responsibilities
- Implement and develop Trust IT Security policies
- Shape the Trusts long-term IT patching cycle
- Support IT security systems and services across the Trust
- Develop and contribute to the Trusts strategic plans for IT security
- Raise IT Security awareness among staff and promote an IT security culture
- Ensure the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability of Trust IT systems
- Maintain comprehensive IT security information systems
- Alert the Trust to emerging IT security threats
- Ensure compliance with governing body directives and internal policies
- Participate in the on-call rota and respond to incidents as required
- Conduct risk assessments and advise on IT Security concerns
- Liaise with external bodies to safeguard the Trusts IT Security posture
- Provide specialist knowledge for new solutions and systems
- Manage and maintain complex IT Security systems and services
- Identify staff IT Security knowledge gaps and develop training programs
- Assist in producing management information and reports on IT Security
- Investigate IT Security issues and fault-find as necessary
