Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience with Power BI, including modelling, DAX, and performance optimisation
- Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query and analytical modelling
- Experience redesigning and improving existing reporting environments
- Solid understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modelling
- Good SQL capability for querying and validating data
- Experience working with stakeholders to translate requirements into analytics solutions
- A track record of delivering BI outputs that support operational and strategic decisions
- Nice to have: Exposure to Microsoft Fabric concepts (Lakehouse, OneLake, Dataflows, Pipelines)
- Nice to have: Experience with source control or deployment practices (e.g., Git)
- Nice to have: Experience integrating data from multiple business systems
- Nice to have: Microsoft Power BI or Fabric certifications
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing Power BI reports, data models, and DAX measures
- Modernising existing Excel-based reporting into scalable BI solutions
- Implementing best practice dimensional modelling (star schema)
- Creating and managing trusted datasets and reusable metrics
- Supporting the organisations transition toward Microsoft Fabric
- Working with stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into clear and intuitive analytics
- Ensuring data quality, governance, and documentation across reporting solutions
- Enabling self-service analytics through well-structured Power BI datasets
- Supporting exploratory analytics and proof-of-concept projects
- Mentoring colleagues on Power BI, modelling, and analytics design
Description
WeDo Tech is partnering with a growing organization to recruit a Senior Power BI Developer who will play a key role in shaping how data is utilized across the business. This position is hybrid, requiring you to be in London 2 days a week. We offer a competitive salary between £50,000 and £55,000 and provide the opportunity to influence the evolution of our data platform.
