Requirements
Must:
We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a few years of experience primarily as a platform engineer, with a strong proficiency in Python.
Key skills and experience include:
- Experience with API servers using REST (Swagger, OpenAPI)
- Proficiency in Python Flask REST API consumer models (HTTP request libraries)
- Familiarity with asynchronous models of system interaction using pub/sub & messaging (using Python Celery, RabbitMQ, or Airflow)
- Development of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
- Experience with database models using ORM (SQLAlchemy on a MySQL backend), comfortable with both object and relational database principles
- Experience with code control procedures and associated technologies (e.g., Git)
- AWS certifications such as AWS Practitioner or Solution Architect are highly desirable
- Solid understanding and experience with deploying the following AWS services: OU, VPC, IAM, Route 53, Load Balancer, EC2, EKS
- Solid experience with AWS CloudFormation and working knowledge of Terraform and Kubernetes
Responsibilities
In this role, I expect you to maintain and extend our Python and Java codebase responsible for the automated provisioning of AWS accounts and associated infrastructure. You will automate the process of provisioning and maintaining AWS accounts and infrastructure, which will involve extensive systems integration with other components within our organization beyond just a narrow focus on the cloud.
