Requirements
Must:
- Deep experience with AWS and/or Azure
- Strong expertise in Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, ECS, and cloud-native tooling
- Excellent understanding of cloud security, IAM, and zero-trust principles
- Strong backend engineering skills (C#, Python, Node.js, Java)
- Good working knowledge of front-end frameworks such as React and TypeScript
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines and modern automation
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven experience mentoring engineers and leading technical discussions
- Nice to Have: GCP experience, public sector background, accessibility awareness, or use of AI-assisted engineering tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead cloud architecture and technical decision-making across major projects
- Design and build cloud-native platforms using AWS, Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes, and serverless technologies
- Write and review high-quality, production-ready code across the full stack
- Champion best practices in security, testing, CI/CD, observability, and operational excellence
- Implement monitoring, metrics, and tracing solutions to ensure reliability and performance
- Mentor engineers and help shape engineering standards and modern practices
- Contribute to presales activities including proposals, estimates, and technical pitches
- Facilitate architecture workshops and collaborative engineering sessions.
