Requirements
Must:
- Strong infrastructure-as-code expertise with Terraform across AWS (compute, networking, databases, IAM)
- Hands-on experience with AWS Core Services such as ECS/Fargate or EC2, RDS Postgres, VPC, ALB, Route 53, CloudWatch
- Proven ability to build sophisticated CI/CD workflows, including ephemeral environments and approval stages (Bitbucket Pipelines or similar)
- Experience migrating databases to AWS RDS Postgres, including planning, dry-runs, and cutovers with minimal disruption
- Understanding of on-demand environment provisioning for pull request-based automated testing
- Familiarity with Azure equivalents (VMs, Azure SQL/Postgres) and their AWS counterparts
- Knowledge of hosting Node.js applications and Postgres databases in production environments
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end migration of the clients web application, API, and database from Azure to AWS
- Design and build AWS infrastructure using Terraform, covering compute, networking, security, Postgres, and application services
- Implement Bitbucket-based CI pipelines to build, test, and validate application code automatically
- Create CD pipelines with ephemeral environments for isolated testing, dynamically spinning up on pull requests
- Establish robust production deployment workflows with approval gates and rollback mechanisms
- Plan and execute the migration of the Azure-hosted database to AWS RDS Postgres, ensuring minimal downtime
- Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting to provide full visibility across the new AWS environment
- Apply AWS Well-Architected principles to ensure the platform is secure, reliable, and cost-efficient from day one
