Business Analyst

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, define, and document data requirements. - Translate business needs into platform features and actionable user stories. - Ensure alignment of platform capabilities with business processes and enterprise architecture. - Support metadata management, data quality initiatives, and compliance with data privacy and regulatory standards. - Develop a deep understanding of customer processes, strategies, priorities, and constraints. - Identify opportunities for process and performance improvement using business and process analysis techniques. - Drive and challenge customers’ assumptions about new business processes and solutions. - Produce and contribute to technical documents for systems requirements and support models. - Work independently with a diverse group of staff and external suppliers. - Determine the root cause of issues and distinguish underlying true requirements from user requests. - Analyze, document, propose, and recommend solutions for change initiatives. - Develop accurate, meaningful, and measurable business cases with project sponsors. - Elicit requirements and document business processes using various business analysis methods. - Critically evaluate requirements gathered from various sources and reconcile conflicts. - Prepare and present business cases, requirements, and solution options to different audiences. - Deliver relevant documentation including functional specifications and detailed requirements specifications. - Lead the production of IT requirements documentation and support formal procurement activities. - Identify and appraise solution options, carrying out options and gap analysis. - Produce written reports and present recommendations to project/governance groups. - Act as a liaison between the business and project teams to ensure solutions meet user requirements. - Develop proposals for service improvements and new solutions with Service Owners. - Liaise with peers including Project Managers, Product Managers, and System Analysts. - Contribute to evolving the University Business Analysis methodology and collaborate on improvement initiatives.
