Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience developing Power BI models, dashboards and reports
- Strong DAX, SQL and data visualisation capability
- Experience with data modelling, ETL/ELT and cloud-based analytics (Azure/Fabric)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical colleagues
- Desirable: experience with other BI tools (Qlik/Tableau/SSRS), Alteryx, or experience in health/social care.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing high-quality Power BI dashboards, reports and semantic models
- Building reliable, scalable data models to support self-service analytics
- Using strong DAX and SQL skills to prepare and shape data
- Supporting ETL/ELT processes and ensuring accurate, timely data for reporting
- Implementing and maintaining secure, governed BI solutions (including RLS)
- Working closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into insight
- Helping to drive a data-driven culture across the organisation.
Description
We are looking for an experienced BI Developer / Analyst to join our growing Data & Analytics team in a hybrid role, requiring just one day per week in Lichfield. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape our BI capability as we scale, working with modern tools including Microsoft Power BI, DAX, SQL and Microsoft Fabric. You will have the chance to influence a modern BI environment using the latest Microsoft technologies, enjoy a collaborative and supportive team culture, and make a real impact on operational improvement and strategic decision-making.
