Responsibilities
- Define and drive the automation strategy
- Design and build automation frameworks covering UI, API, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Embed automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable validation
- Champion best practices in quality engineering and testing
- Partner with engineers to improve coverage, resilience, and confidence in delivery
- Mentor and uplift automation capability across the team
- Support production by helping diagnose defects and quality risks
Description
We are a well-established and growing SaaS company located in Cardiff, seeking a hands-on Lead Automation Engineer to own and elevate automation across one of our product suites. In this technical leadership role, you will shape automation strategy, build scalable frameworks, and embed quality at the heart of our solutions. We offer a hybrid working model and a competitive salary range of £60,000 - £70,000, alongside a collaborative and innovative team environment.
