Requirements
Must:
- Hands-on specialist level experience with Qualys vulnerability scanning tool, including basic & advanced modules, configuration, asset management, and tuning scan profiles for reliable coverage.
- Advanced specialist knowledge of vulnerabilities in infrastructure, web applications, or code, including the ability to communicate risks clearly to stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration skills with Platform & Technology Owners, Application Teams, and project teams for planning remediation and tracking progress.
- Experience with common OS platforms (Windows Server & Desktop or RHEL) and understanding of enterprise-level patching processes and automation options.
- Understanding of patching cycles, secure configuration, and system hardening to industry standards for compliance and benchmarked builds.
- Ability to identify improvements in scanning, reporting, and tooling, with a curiosity about emerging vulnerabilities and threat intelligence sources.
- Bonus: Knowledge of Cloud infrastructure (AWS, AZURE), recognized industry-related security qualification (CISM, CISSP), or understanding of IT frameworks (ITIL, COBIT).
Responsibilities
- Operate, administer, and maintain vulnerability and exposure scanning tools (e.g. Qualys, Darktrace Defender).
- Identify, analyze, and assess vulnerabilities and misconfigurations across infrastructure, applications, and code, prioritizing based on severity and business impact.
- Continuously monitor vulnerability data, threat intelligence, and scanning outputs to detect emerging risks.
- Record, manage, and escalate risks, producing clear actionable vulnerability reports for stakeholders.
- Participate in continuous improvement programs for scanning, reporting, dashboards, processes, and tooling to enhance efficiency and security posture.
- Support automation initiatives that improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Share knowledge and experience as an industry-recognized SME with analysts and team members to enhance capability.
- Contribute to and improve existing Management Information reporting processes.
