Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience building backend systems with Python
- A strong academic background, preferably from a top Russell Group university
- Experience working with APIs, integrations, or distributed systems
- Comfort working across multiple surfaces or parts of a product
- Bonus: Experience with frontend development (Svelte or jQuery)
- Bonus: Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent)
- Bonus: Experience with third-party integrations or extensions
- Bonus: Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs)
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services in Python
- Contribute across the stack, including frontend components (Svelte / jQuery)
- Own features end-to-end, from design and development through deployment
- Collaborate closely with product, QA, and other engineers to deliver high-quality solutions
- Bring product thinking into engineering decisions, understanding real user impact
- Help shape the architecture and long-term evolution of the platform
