Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 2 years in an infrastructure, SysOps or Security role
- Active Directory management
- Experience with AWS ecosystem, especially AppStream 2.0
- NTFS permission & Group Policy configuration & management
- Microsoft RDS Architecture (RemoteApp/RDWeb Gateway/RDS Broker)
- Virtual Windows 2016 DC Servers / File Server with SMB file shares
- Site-to-Site VPN configuration & maintenance
- PowerShell proficiency
- Windows IIS security & management
- Event Log analysis and troubleshooting
- Experience working with external cloud and security providers
- Cyber Security experience including resolving issues from external PEN testing
- Strong analytical skills in monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on risk scenarios
- Strong report-writing skills for policy management and Team/Board reporting
- Excellent communication skills with confidence and clarity in directing information risk issues
- Strong starter/finisher, able to work independently while taking direction from key management
- Related experience or keen interest in pursuing an Information Security specialization
- Desirable: IaaS and PaaS environments, SQL, VMWare Cloud Director, SharePoint, Security & GDPR compliance (ISO27001/ISO27032/SOC 2).

Responsibilities
- Monitor and resolve issues affecting the delivery of services to our clients
- Manage application licensing
- Stay updated with the latest infrastructure and SysOps technologies and methodologies
- Gain comprehensive understanding of Morning Data software products and the insurance industry
- Encourage the use of automated software deployment and monitoring at every opportunity
- Provide realistic estimates for work items and consistently deliver against them
- Support ongoing modernization efforts
- Maintain understanding of regulatory and compliance issues driving our ISMS
- Assist with maintenance and management of Risk Registers across the business
- Understand key information risks to the business such as systems, networks, data, and cyber threats
- Engage in information security audits for risk measurement and reduction
- Report findings both qualitatively and quantitatively
- Manage security events and incidents as they occur
- Facilitate smooth delivery of all projects, enhancements, and support from the team
- Contribute to decisions on technology selection and methodology, including standardization and best practices
- Enhance team procedures and processes
- Support software development teams in producing secure applications
- Develop strong working relationships with other departments and business units
- Be available out of hours if required for specific tasks and customer support
- Promote a culture of innovative thinking and efficiency savings
- Mentor team members and encourage knowledge transfer through show and tell sessions
- Assist with critical support issues using your knowledge and experience
- Produce well-written documentation and assist with customers RFIs and RFPs
- Obtain at least CII certification to understand the insurance industry better.
Description
We are seeking an Infrastructure Technician to join our Support & Infrastructure Team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for deploying, monitoring, and maintaining an extensive cloud-hosted RDS application suite for the insurance industry, as well as our internal cloud applications and on-premises equipment. Youll work closely with the larger Verisk group on security and infrastructure issues, contributing to our teams strategy and enhancing our service quality.
