Requirements
Must:
- Deep, hands-on Data Architecture experience
- Proven ability to design ontologies from the ground up in large or complex environments
- Strong data modelling skills across conceptual, logical, and physical layers
- End-to-end data pipeline architecture experience, including ingestion, transformation, governance, and optimisation
- Confidence to operate as the technical authority and justify architectural choices to senior stakeholders
- Track record of supporting engineering teams through implementation, providing practical guidance
- Experience with Palantir Foundry, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS, GCP, or equivalent enterprise platforms
- Ability to deliver under pressure in a high-visibility, mission-critical environment
- Clear, concise communication skills for translating technical decisions across mixed audiences
Responsibilities
- Take genuine ownership of the platform architecture by designing and building alongside the team
- Responsible for ontology design, data pipeline architecture, and data modelling from scratch
- Guide a team of engineers through implementation acting as the technical authority
- Make decisions and justify architectural choices to key stakeholders
- Provide practical, in-depth guidance to engineering teams during implementation
- Ensure effective communication of technical decisions to varied audiences
