Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates who have a degree or HND in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related discipline. You should possess hands-on experience with ICS, SCADA, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial protocols such as Modbus, OPC, or HART. A strong understanding of network security principles, DMZ architecture, and secure configurations is essential. Familiarity with both modern and legacy industrial computing systems is required, along with experience in cyber governance, documentation, and compliance frameworks. Additionally, we seek excellent attention to detail, strong documentation, and communication skills, as well as the ability to build strong relationships across technical and operational teams. A full UK driving license and residency within 60 minutes of Heysham are also necessary. Candidates must be eligible for SC clearance.
Responsibilities
As an OT Cyber Security Engineer, you will support configuration control, malware checks, backups, and digital forensic investigations for OT/PCS systems. Maintaining accurate asset inventories, risk registers, and network diagrams will be a crucial part of your role. You will identify, assess, and manage cyber risks to OT assets, administer and maintain CBSIS documentation, including risk assessments and operating procedures. Additionally, you will participate in cyber incident response activities and deliver security awareness training. Working collaboratively with system engineers, you will implement and enforce security requirements, ensure compliance with IEC 62443, NIST CSF, and EDF standards, and support software library management, version control, and configuration tracking. Promoting knowledge sharing and capability development within the OT cyber team will also be part of your responsibilities.
