Requirements
Must:
- I hold a degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.
- I have experience in IT support or system administration, ideally within or alongside public sector environments.
- I possess excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- I am a clear and confident communicator, capable of supporting users both remotely and in person.
- I am comfortable managing workloads across multiple sites or departments.
- I have a full UK driving licence and access to my own vehicle, as travel between client sites is required.
Responsibilities
- I will provide responsive 1st and 2nd line IT support across multiple client locations.
- I will support key business and productivity platforms, including Microsoft 365 (e.g., Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Co-Pilot, and Entra ID).
- I will assist with secure onboarding and offboarding processes, including hardware provisioning and access setup.
- I will liaise with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to resolve issues and implement improvements.
Description
I am offering a temporary position for an IT Technician with a salary of £25,000 - £27,000 per annum, based in Ballymena (with travel to various sites). This full-time role requires 36 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with flexible hours) and has the potential for a permanent position after 3-6 months. In this hands-on role, I am looking for someone to support the day-to-day stability, efficiency, and compliance of IT operations for our public sector client. You will play a key part in ensuring that core systems, infrastructure, and end-user services remain secure, available, and aligned with public service expectations.
