Requirements

Must:
We are looking for a seasoned Systems Engineer with extensive experience in IT technologies, cloud computing, networking, and user device management, particularly with Microsoft Azure, Windows, Office 365, VMware, and Citrix. You should also have hands-on experience with patch management solutions, whether Microsoft or third-party tools such as Ivanti or similar remote monitoring and management (RMM) platforms. Familiarity with data protection and backup solutions such as Microsoft Azure, VEEAM, Rubrik, and Zerto is essential. A background in proactive maintenance within an event management, monitoring, or engineering team is highly desired. Strong verbal and written communication skills, combined with an approachable and professional demeanor, are a must. We seek someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional managed services and is ambitious, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced work environment, both independently and as part of a team. Additionally, a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in information technology or a related field, as well as one or more of the following certifications: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, VMware Certified Professional, or a data protection certification, are required.

Responsibilities

In this critical role, you will be responsible for enhancing the availability, performance, and security of customer systems and applications through effective maintenance strategies, standardized configurations, and comprehensive data protection measures. Key responsibilities include developing and configuring maintenance plans for client Microsoft Azure and Windows environments, validating backup and data protection solutions, coordinating, testing, and improving disaster recovery strategies, performing access control audits (including Azure and on-premise Active Directory management), ensuring continuous system monitoring for capacity and availability, overseeing OS patching and upgrades, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver consistent and high-quality client experiences worldwide. You will also develop standard operating procedures and knowledge base articles, and contribute to the cloud platform roadmap while staying updated on industry advancements.

Description

This role will require you to work on-site in Belfast City Centre for two days a week, with hours from 10 AM to 6 PM, Monday to Friday. As we continue to grow our client base and expand our managed IT and cybersecurity services globally, we invite you to apply and become part of our dedicated team.
