Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience as a Mainframe Project Manager
- Hands-on experience with z/OS environments and IBM Z tooling
- Strong track record of delivering projects on-time, within-scope, and within-budget
- Effective governance and risk management skills
- Excellent stakeholder engagement capabilities
- Experience with COBOL/CICS/DB2 modernization, batch scheduling, application migrations, containerization strategies, or performance tuning
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Familiarity with agile or hybrid delivery practices and project management tools
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of mainframe projects
- Define project scope, goals, milestones, timelines, budgets, and resource plans
- Manage changes via a formal change control process
- Develop and maintain project artifacts such as project plans and status reports
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage third-party vendors/partners
- Ensure adherence to standards, security, compliance, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor and mitigate project risks and manage issues, dependencies, and escalation paths
- Facilitate agile or hybrid ceremonies and ensure backlog clarity
- Manage critical path and dependencies with legacy systems
- Optimize scheduling to minimize business impact
- Ensure quality assurance through test strategies and Go-Live readiness
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members
Description
