Requirements
Must:
- Strong Full Stack development background
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI concepts, models, or AI-enabled application development
- Backend development using Java and/or Scala
- Frontend development with Angular or similar JavaScript frameworks
- Experience with distributed compute technologies, such as: Apache Spark, Databricks, Apache Beam (or similar)
- Solid experience with Azure cloud technologies
- Database experience with cloud and relational databases, e.g. Snowflake, Sybase, or similar
- Strong Unix/Linux experience
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and integrate Generative AI solutions into existing full stack applications
- Develop and maintain backend services using Java and/or Scala
- Build modern, user-friendly front ends using Angular or similar frameworks
- Work with distributed compute and data processing platforms to support AI and data-driven workloads
- Develop cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure
- Work with both cloud and relational databases to support AI pipelines and applications
- Operate confidently in Unix/Linux environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet security, performance, and regulatory requirements
Description
We are partnering with a major financial services organization to recruit an experienced Gen AI Developer for an initial 6-month contract. This role sits within a forward-thinking technology team focused on applying Generative AI and modern full stack engineering to complex, large-scale financial systems. Our hybrid model requires attendance at the Glasgow office three days per week, where you will collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and data specialists to design and deliver AI-enabled solutions in a regulated environment.
