Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proven experience in managing server, storage, and Cloud infrastructure
- Proficient in Azure Cloud services including SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and AKS
- Strong understanding of automation processes in IT environments
- Experience with monitoring systems performance and capacity planning
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues efficiently
- Knowledge of storage and backup systems and disaster recovery procedures
- Experience in documenting technical processes and operational procedures
- Ability to participate in a Duty Officer Rota and manage customer support requests
Responsibilities
- Install, operate, manage, and support university-wide digital infrastructure
- Provision, build, deploy, and maintain Cloud environments within Azure
- Implement automation options for current processes to enhance efficiency
- Monitor system performance for proactive fine-tuning and future developments
- Administer storage and backup systems to maintain agreed service levels
- Resolve system and service problems swiftly, coordinating with relevant teams
- Document incidents and manage problems effectively
- Prepare and maintain disaster recovery and operational procedure documentation
- Provide technical support for disaster recovery activities including testing
- Research and implement software updates and cybersecurity remediations
- Actively manage customer support requests within agreed SLAs
