Requirements
Must:
We are looking for an Android Developer with deep experience in Android development and a strong grasp of app architecture and UI design principles. You must have excellent Kotlin skills, including experience with Flows, extensions, and higher-order functions. Proven experience with Jetpack Compose and strong knowledge of Jetpack libraries is essential. Prior involvement in greenfield or rebuild projects is required, along with confident troubleshooting and performance optimization skills. You should have experience working with RESTful APIs, TDD, unit testing, and automation. An Agile (SCRUM) background is important, as well as solid DevOps knowledge, particularly with CI/CD using Git and Azure DevOps. You should be comfortable working in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing white-label Android applications. You'll define and implement best practices for setting up new apps. Collaborating with stakeholders to understand and shape requirements will be a key part of your work. Additionally, you will offer hands-on mentorship and technical direction to the wider development team, helping guide them throughout the project.
Description
This is a contract position outside IR35, offering a competitive daily rate of £450.00 - £540.00 for an initial duration of 3 months, with the potential for extension. The role is based in Leicester and requires your presence on-site three days per week (every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday). We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible, and our interview process consists of just one stage.
