Requirements
Must:
- Proficient in VR technologies
- Experience developing with Unity and/or C# (academic, personal, or commercial projects)
- Basic understanding of game systems such as input, physics, animations, UI, and asset integration
- Familiarity with version control (e.g. Git)
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical teammates and clients
- Confidence to contribute ideas and ask questions
- Thrive in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment
- Comfortable working on multiple prototypes or projects at once
- Eager to learn, collaborate, and contribute within a multidisciplinary team
- Previous internship, university project, or small commercial project using Unity (desirable)
- Experience building for WebGL, PC, VR, or AR (desirable)
- Familiarity with 3D workflows, shaders, lighting, or optimisation (desirable)
- Understanding of basic game design principles (desirable)
- Experience working with interactive learning, simulations, or serious games (desirable)
- Drivers licence (for site visits or client demonstrations) (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement gameplay systems and interactive features using Unity and/or C#.
- Build and maintain UI systems, player interactions, animations, and basic game mechanics.
- Integrate audio, video, and visual assets into interactive environments.
- Develop VR technology.
- Work closely with designers, instructional developers, artists, and product managers to turn concepts into playable experiences.
- Support the implementation of learning mechanics, simulations, and serious games.
- Quickly turn ideas and requirements into playable prototypes for testing and stakeholder review.
- Iterate rapidly based on feedback from internal teams and clients.
- Occasionally attend client meetings to demonstrate builds, explain technical constraints, and gather feedback in a clear, accessible way.
- Identify bugs, optimise performance, and maintain clean, readable, and maintainable code.
- Assist with testing across PC, web, and immersive platforms (where applicable).
- Document gameplay systems, technical workflows, and development processes to support future development and maintenance.
Description

We offer a competitive salary of £28-35K per annum and provide a creative, flexible work environment where your ideas and contributions can directly shape our product. Initially, we require full-time in-office work for the first 4-6 weeks, transitioning to a hybrid model thereafter.
