Requirements
Must:
We are seeking candidates with at least 5 years of experience in developing highly complex backend systems. You should have experience with systems that scale on cloud infrastructure and a solid understanding of databases, including relational, in-memory, and time series types. Proficiency in building production-grade, high-performance code in Golang or Rust is essential. Bonus points will be awarded for those with experience in Rust and a background in DeFi or blockchain technologies.
Responsibilities
As a Staff Backend Engineer, you will be a pivotal part of our small, efficient team where you will enjoy a lot of autonomy in your work. You will report directly to our Principal Backend Engineer. Your primary responsibility will be to develop backend systems that connect users to our platform and to build systems that collect vital external data to enhance our product offerings.
Description
We are building a first-of-its-kind exchange centered around a high-performance Central Limit Order Book, operating on-chain. Our company is supported by well-known market makers, Tier 1 VC firms, and angel investors. Our founding team has experience in successful startup cycles with multiple exits. The exchange will be constructed on top of a performant blockchain, enabling several groundbreaking features related to user anonymity. Our compensation package includes a salary of up to £160,000, equity options, and a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare for you and your family, along with generous paid time off (PTO).
