Requirements
Must:
- A relevant engineering/computer science degree or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of the following:
- Version Control Systems (client side) such as git, SourceTree, gitextensions, SVN, and TortoiseSVN.
- Scripting languages including Python, DOS-CMD, PowerShell, and Bash.
- Continuous Integration Systems like Jenkins, GitHub Enterprise, and GitLab.
- Configuration Management Systems such as Ansible and Packer.
- Task Management Tools including Jira, GitHub, and GitLab.
- Awareness of Version Control System (server-side) like Bitbucket, GitHub Enterprise, GitLab, and VisualSVN.
- Familiarity with Virtualization Systems including Hyper-V, VirtualBox, and ProxMox.
- Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain DV security clearance.
Responsibilities
- I will work within the DevOps team to provide software configuration management, build management, and engineering tools management for project teams within our Cyber UK Business Unit.
- I will develop and maintain continuous integration (CI) pipelines, ensuring they are operational, fit for purpose, and deliver the required outputs for the project team.
- I will suggest and implement minor improvements to the CI pipelines.
- I will be the primary interface for the project regarding DevOps, ensuring understanding of the project's requirements and development processes.
- I will perform regular monitoring of the DevOps environment, utilizing dashboards and responding to events that require further analysis and potential remediation.
- I will conduct independent research regarding the evolution of the DevOps environment and provide feedback and suggestions to other members of the DevOps team.
- I will execute tests within a prototype environment to verify proposed changes to the DevOps environment, collaborating with the Senior DevOps Engineer to agree on tests and processes for evaluation.

This role will involve working with multiple project teams, each potentially using different technologies and ranging in size from 2 to 40 engineers spread across several sites. You will provide robust configuration management and build solutions to multiple software and firmware projects, delivering multiple concurrent research, development, and production programs.
