Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience delivering IT and business transformation projects in a structured, controlled environment.
- Strong background in end-to-end IT project management, from initiation and planning through to delivery and handover.
- Strong understanding of IT system security and infrastructure requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical teams, business users, and senior management.
- Strong planning, documentation, and communication skills, with a clear and pragmatic approach to delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle delivery of IT projects, from initiation and business case development through to implementation and benefits realisation.
- Deliver multiple concurrent projects aligned to a wider IT and digital transformation roadmap.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, dependencies, risks, and issues proactively.
- Ensure the business is properly engaged and that IT projects are business sponsored and properly resourced.
- Work closely with all business areas to identify project requirements and needs to ensure IT solutions are fit for purpose.
- Ensure project investments deliver tangible business benefits, such as improved performance, reliability, security, and scalability.
- Manage internal delivery teams and external vendors, systems integrators, and consultants.
- Present clear, concise updates to senior leadership and steering groups.
Description
We are Ulster Carpets, a renowned, family-owned carpet manufacturer based in Portadown, Northern Ireland. Founded in 1938, we are a global leader in the production of high-quality, luxurious woven carpets for export around the world. We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and develop a portfolio of technology-enabled projects within our complex manufacturing environment. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive pay range of £40,000.00-£60,000.00 per year and benefits including additional leave, company pension, employee discount, enhanced maternity and paternity leave, life insurance, on-site parking, private medical insurance, and sick pay. This role will be site-based.
