Requirements

Must:
- I hold an HNC/HND, Foundation degree, NVQ Level 4, or equivalent (or higher) with relevant ICT content, or I am in the final 6 months of a degree program with relevant ICT content, or I can demonstrate appropriate experience relevant to an ICT technical support (2nd Level) environment. - I have experience providing 2nd Level ICT service request and incident management support. - I have experience in problem analysis and resolution activities in an ICT technical support environment. - I can provide evidence of experience configuring and deploying hardware and software, including portable devices. - I am willing to attend campuses out of hours to deal with matters of high priority.

Responsibilities

In my role as an ICT Support Technician, I will deliver 2nd line IT technical support by resolving a variety of IT issues and supporting staff, students, and visitors with technical problems based at my campus location. I will troubleshoot and solve escalated issues, delivering solutions that ensure the university operates smoothly. I am expected to understand IT Service Management and stay updated on current computing technologies. Given that this is an entry-level position, I will also be part of a training and development plan to enhance my skills further.
