Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates who possess a degree or postgraduate qualification in Information Technology or Computer Science, or who can demonstrate an appropriate level of professional experience. You should have experience in creating automated processes to assist with OS deployments, patch management, software distribution, and policy configurations in a networked desktop environment and/or mobile deployment. Additionally, experience in supporting and developing desktop and mobile technologies, along with evidence of End User Compute service design, testing, operational delivery, and service monitoring is essential. You should have demonstrable experience in at least three of the following areas:
- Cloud Mobile Device Management technologies (e.g., Endpoint Manager/Jamf Pro)
- MECM configuration, including Image Deployment, Application Packaging, and Patch Management
- Delivering Desktop as a Service and/or VDI solutions using modern Cloud approaches, tools, and techniques
- Management of Endpoint Protection Platforms, including Anti-Virus, Anti-Malware, and Next Generation Detection tools
- Scripting experience, preferably in PowerShell
Responsibilities
As our new End User Compute Architect, your responsibilities will include managing the creation of Operating System Images and facilitating the release and updates of applications through SCCM, Intune, AVD, and JAMF Pro. You will also be required to identify problems and errors both prior to and when they occur, logging all incidents in a timely manner with the necessary level of detail. You will lead the development, troubleshooting, and support of SCCM, Intune, JAMF, and various other End User Computing (EUC) technologies as part of a team. Additionally, you will support and enhance the current End User Computing technologies deployed throughout the University.

The position is based in Belfast with a hybrid working arrangement and is permanent/full-time. The interview process consists of two stages: a Technical pre-assessment with two unseen tasks (remote or in person) followed by an interview involving a seen presentation and a subsequent interview (preferably in person).
