Requirements
Must:
- I hold a degree or postgraduate qualification in Information Technology or Computer Science, or I can demonstrate an appropriate level and range of professional experience.
- I have experience in designing and implementing Azure cloud solutions from design through to production.
- I am experienced in deploying, managing, and supporting at least two of the following technologies in a large organization:
1) Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
2) Entra ID
3) Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and ARM
4) Microsoft Defender Suite, including Defender for Cloud, Defender for Office, Defender for Identity, and Defender for Cloud Apps
5) Containerization technologies such as Azure Kubernetes
6) Secure logging of Azure and Microsoft Events, such as Log Analytics.
- I possess proficiency in scripting languages, specifically PowerShell or Python.
Responsibilities
- I will specialize in Azure, leading the architecture, implementation, and optimization of cloud solutions to ensure the design of scalable and resilient architectures.
- My primary responsibility will involve supporting and maintaining the University’s Cloud-Based Microsoft Enterprise configurations, which incorporate the M365 ecosystem, Entra ID, Azure Cloud Services, and the Microsoft Security stack.
- I will contribute to and lead solution design and implementation, complex problem resolution, and ongoing service enhancement related to the entire Azure & M365 technology stack.
- I will collaborate closely with other key stakeholders within the Digital Services Directorate and beyond to explore, design, and deliver effective solutions, thereby significantly contributing to the University’s growth in the Azure ecosystem.
