Requirements
Must:
- Previous experience with IT asset deployment, logistics, or coordination is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with asset management systems such as ServiceNow.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills; detail-oriented and proactive.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with users via digital platforms (Teams, email).
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage daily timelines with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate outreach to users via Microsoft Teams for scheduling laptop deployments, using contact information provided in Excel files.
- Hand over new laptops (running Windows 11) directly from the box to users, or place devices in lockers as required—no imaging or device setup is involved.
- Assist users with initial login, if needed, to ensure a smooth start (no major issues expected).
- Ensure old laptops are collected and returned from users the same day as the new device is issued.
- Maintain accurate tracking of all laptop handovers and returns by updating an Excel tracking sheet in real time.
- Update IT asset status in ServiceNow to reflect all deployment and collection activities.
- Provide daily status updates to the project team on handovers, returns, and any issues encountered.
- Ensure asset handling and recordkeeping is done with precision and reliability.
Description
We are seeking an organized and proactive IT Asset Deployment & Collection Coordinator to oversee the seamless rollout of new Windows 11 laptops to users and manage the collection and return of old devices. This role requires excellent coordination, attention to detail, and comfort with digital tracking and communication tools. The position is a fixed-term contract for 3 months, located in Eastleigh, Hampshire.
