Requirements
Must:
We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer with the following skills and experience:
- Proficient in modern configuration management tools (such as Ansible, Chef, or similar).
- Experience working with Terraform.
- Familiarity with Docker containers and container orchestration tools (such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Docker Swarm).
- Experience using and maintaining CI/CD tools (such as Jenkins or similar).
- Proficient with monitoring tools like InfluxDB, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Experience with event-driven integration and messaging systems (such as RabbitMQ or similar AMQP solutions).
- A solid understanding of relational databases and SQL.
- Proficient with Linux command line, administration, and shell scripting.
- Working knowledge of network security protocols.
- Experience using, developing, and maintaining cloud hosting services (ideally AWS EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda).
Responsibilities
As our Site Reliability Engineer, I will be responsible for the following:
- Collaborating with Software Engineers to enhance the reliability and performance of their subsystems.
- Partnering with System Administrators to automate tasks and eliminate unnecessary alerts.
- Evolving our observability and monitoring capabilities to proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact our business.
- Supporting development environments to achieve our delivery and quality goals.
- Researching and evaluating new technologies, tools, and services to inform our buy-vs-build decisions.
- Developing expertise in diverse technical and business domains and expanding knowledge of our technical stacks.
Description
We offer a highly competitive salary ranging from £60,000 to £90,000, depending on your experience, along with an extensive benefits package.
