Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a skilled Firmware Engineer with proven experience in embedded software development, a strong understanding of firmware architecture, and hands-on expertise in FPGA development and microcontroller programming. Proficiency in programming languages including C, C++, Python, JavaScript, PHP, Visual Basic, VBA, Perl, Bash (Unix shell), and HTML/CSS for UI development is essential. You should also be familiar with electronic components and PCB layout, as well as database management systems like MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server. A strong understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DHCP, and VoIP, along with experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, is desirable. Additionally, you should have solid analysis skills and familiarity with development tools like Eclipse, Visual Studio, Jenkins, Jira, and GitHub/GitLab repositories. Understanding IoT architectures and exposure to MATLAB/Simulink for simulation purposes is a plus.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to develop and optimize embedded firmware for various hardware platforms using languages such as C, C++, and Python. You will implement signal processing algorithms and machine learning models within embedded environments, integrate hardware components like FPGA and STM32, and conduct debugging and troubleshooting to ensure firmware meets high quality and performance standards. It will be your responsibility to utilize version control tools like Git for managing code repositories, write comprehensive documentation, and perform software testing, including unit testing and quality assurance procedures. You will also maintain knowledge of OS kernels, network protocols, and application development frameworks. Providing support for hardware soldering processes when necessary and participating in code reviews for continuous improvement initiatives will also be key aspects of your role.
