Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Scientist
- Background in Operations Research data, Supply Chain data, Logistics data or similar
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and translate complex modelling outputs into insights
- Experience with Gurobi (bonus)
- Prior experience leading or mentoring Junior Data Analysts (bonus)
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy advanced optimisation and predictive models across inbound routing, inventory management, warehousing, and last-mile delivery
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain Technology function on strategic projects and new use cases
- Engage with senior stakeholders to provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis
- Utilize Azure-based tech stack and work with the larger data science and ML team
Description
We are an international E-commerce business with a significant and growing supply chain operation, seeking to establish our first Data Scientist focused on Supply Chain operations. This role offers a competitive salary of £70,000-£88,000, along with £5,500 in flexible benefits and a 12% bonus. Located in Doncaster, we support a hybrid working model with 3 days per week in the office. This is an exciting opportunity to build and innovate in a high-impact, data-rich environment.
