Requirements
Must:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, React, Next.js, Apollo, and related front-end technologies, including mobile optimization and SEO.
- Solid backend expertise with Java, Spring Boot, and experience building/integrating REST and GraphQL APIs in event-driven microservice architectures.
- Kafka experience, including Avro schemas and building Kafka streams, is a plus.
- Experience with AWS services (S3, SQS, IAM) and cloud architecture principles.
- Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
- Experienced with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
- A collaborative mindset, with clear communication skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Enthusiastic about contributing across the full software development lifecycle, producing maintainable and highly testable code (TDD/BDD).
- Experience in championing engineering excellence and coding standards, mentoring junior colleagues, and aligning systems with user needs and business goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain modern web applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Apollo GraphQL.
- Design and implement Java/Spring Boot microservices within AWS Cloud environments, integrating APIs and data layers.
- Apply best practices in CI/CD, automated testing (JUnit, Mockito, Jest, Playwright), and cloud-native deployment using Docker, GitHub Actions, and Kubernetes.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and coding standards, ensuring system performance, scalability, and security through thoughtful design.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, and Engineers to deliver solutions that align with business goals.
- Lead projects, providing technical and process expertise, guiding junior team members, and engaging with business stakeholders.
- Drive effective business and technical discussions, write clear documentation, and contribute to the engineering roadmap.
- Maintain high standards for delivery with established cost, time, and quality benchmarks within our product strategy.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, technical excellence, and clear communication within the team.
- Utilize development metrics and retrospective feedback for ongoing team performance enhancement.
- Proactively develop skills as required to adapt to technological changes and personal growth.
- Be prepared to fulfill the Scrum Master role if needed.
