Requirements
Must:
- 8 years of commercial software development experience
- Strong understanding of software design principles and development patterns
- Familiarity with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
- Experience in PHP and ideally exposure to Golang (or willingness to learn it)
- Strong problem-solving attitude
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
- Nice-to-haves: Experience with financial systems or fintech applications
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP)
- Familiarity with unit testing and PCI-compliant environments
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and test scalable backend solutions using Golang
- Maintain and enhance an existing PHP codebase to support ongoing product evolution
- Work closely with engineers and product colleagues to translate requirements into robust software
- Participate in code reviews and champion best engineering practices
- Stay up to date with new technology trends, especially in Go and backend systems
Description
We are a fast-growing fintech-focused technology business based near Fareham, expanding our engineering team.
