Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates who have experience in delivering cyber security solutions within complex environments. You should have a strong understanding of security fundamentals and be able to creatively apply them to evolving technologies. Hands-on experience in securing cloud computing platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure and AWS, is essential. You should also possess expertise in applying security controls across platforms like M365, ensuring secure identity and access management, and configuring cloud-native tools to detect and respond to threats. Experience with container security, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and DevSecOps practices will be a significant advantage. We value individuals who enjoy solving problems, sharing knowledge, and continuously seeking ways to improve processes. A collaborative mindset and an eagerness for continuous learning are crucial.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will help design, implement, and maintain secure systems and services across our University. Working closely with cyber security architects, project teams, and other IT professionals, you will contribute to defining technical controls and validating security solutions. It will be your responsibility to ensure that new and existing technologies are 'secure by design,' utilizing a blend of best practices, innovation, and collaboration. You will have a unique opportunity to influence how the University manages cyber risk while enabling digital transformation across research, teaching, and support services.
