Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a candidate who supports the aims, values, and ethos of our school. You should be able to contribute to the implementation of our school’s IT Development Plan. Experience in coordinating the use of IT within an educational setting is essential. You will be responsible for the purchase, installation, maintenance, and operation of all IT hardware and software. You will also be accountable to the Headteacher and should be able to advise school governors, leadership, management teams, and the School Business Manager on IT strategy. Additionally, we expect you to perform duties as directed by the Headteacher, which may include some out-of-school hours responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Your key accountabilities will include:
- Ensuring safeguarding practices are upheld
- Engaging in effective planning
- Managing procurement processes
- Overseeing IT infrastructure
- Maintaining security, online safety, and cybersecurity measures
- Providing helpdesk and curriculum support
- Delivering training to staff and students
- Assisting with marketing initiatives

We are The Ridgeway School, a large co-educational institution catering to pupils with severe and profound multiple learning difficulties aged 2-19 years. We are an Academy and part of the Weydon Multi Academy Trust. An Enhanced DBS will be sought from the successful candidate. We offer various job types, including full-time, part-time, and permanent positions, with a competitive pay range of £35,372.00-£40,034.00 per year.
