Requirements
Must:
- 3rd level IT qualification
- 3+ years of experience in a similar system administration role
- Proven experience supporting server operating systems (Windows Server 2019 & above, Linux), ideally within virtual environments
- Experience managing Active Directory (on-premises and Azure), DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- Proficiency in managing and administering M365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
- Experience or understanding of Application Delivery Controllers or Load Balancers (advantageous)
- Strong understanding of networking principles
- Experience with security tools and technologies (patch management, antivirus, firewalls)
- Experience working in a cloud environment is a significant advantage
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on security, compliance, and continuous improvement
Responsibilities
- Perform daily administration of IT systems, including servers, workstations, and network infrastructure
- Review health check reports, identify any issues, and troubleshoot with partners
- Work with managed service partners to ensure the availability and performance of systems and key services
- Assist with the deployment of Windows OS, software, and patches using Microsoft tools such as Autopilot, SCCM, and Intune
- Manage M365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
- Monitor service performance, troubleshoot issues, and carry out required maintenance
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices, aligning with company policies
- Install and configure security software, ensuring overall compliance
- Review security reports and carry out any recommended actions
- Conduct system audits for technical and physical security
- Escalate necessary changes to security configurations (including firewall changes) as required
- Act as an escalation point for Level 1 Service Desk and the wider I.T. team
- Prioritize tasks and complete them in an effective and timely manner
Description
We are a company located in Dublin 1, offering a hybrid work role with a competitive salary range of €50K-€55K per year, plus benefits. In this technical position, you will be vital in managing and securing our clients IT infrastructure, both on-premise and in the cloud, as a Level 2 System Administrator. Youll work closely with our existing system administration function and collaborate with multiple partners to ensure that all IT solutions and services meet their needs.
