Requirements
Must:
- Previous experience as a Police Sergeant
- Ability to pass a fitness test (level 5.4 shuttle run)
- Hold a full driving license
- Right to work in the UK
Responsibilities
- Supervising and managing staff, ensuring high levels of motivation
- Monitoring and managing teams performance
- Assessing capabilities and development needs of staff
- Co-ordinating front line response to incidents and investigations
- Allocating resources, directing activities, managing risk and reviewing progression
- Supervising and monitoring the handling of information and intelligence
- Working with partners to ensure effective collaboration
- Ensuring compliance with ISPS and the Port Facility Security Plan
- Carrying out quarterly reviews and planning annual exercises
- Performing Control Room duties

We are The Bristol Port Company, based in Avonmouth, Bristol, offering an exciting opportunity for a Police Sergeant to join our Ports Police team at Royal Portbury and Avonmouth Docks. This unique role comes with a salary of £54,800 per annum and benefits including a pension scheme, onsite GP service, gym access, subsidized canteens, and a Cycle to Work scheme.
