- Degree-qualified or equivalent experience.
- Essential background in Software Engineering and experience of the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Proven application of engineering project delivery and processes across the full project lifecycle, with an understanding of commercial impacts.
- Knowledge and experience of agile methodologies and practices.
- Experience in configuration control and change management.
- Familiarity with requirements management, software design and development, and Integration and Verification activities.
- Experience in risk management and bid management with various estimation techniques.
- A good understanding of current trends in software engineering development techniques and technologies.
- Experience in using industry-standard software engineering tools.
Beneficial:
- Substantial experience in a Software Delivery role managing deliveries from multiple integrated development teams.
- Experience managing multi-million-pound Software Work packages and handling multi-site/multi-country development within complex stakeholder environments.
- Knowledge of specific management toolsets such as Atlassian Jira and Windchill PLM.

Responsibilities
- I will ensure relevant department/product/project management plans are updated and that proper governance is executed for products/projects.
- I will oversee that development is conducted in alignment with these plans.
- I liaise with Project Customers as required.
- I will plan, coordinate, and monitor the performance of work packages, identifying and managing risks throughout the lifecycle until closure.
- Ill deliver work packages on time and within budget while managing any scope changes.
- I will capture and monitor relevant metrics throughout the projects lifecycle and implement plans to continuously improve project/product development.
- Ill review the Engineering Forward Load with Software Engineering Management (SWEM) and the Head of Software Delivery.
- Ill contribute to bid activities regarding estimates, project scheduling, and review inputs.
- I will proactively seek opportunities to expand my professional knowledge in software, engineering, and management.
- I will develop necessary skills and experience through various training methods and provide support to less experienced team members.
- I will lead by example, utilizing the Thales Leadership model to cultivate a high-performing culture and coaching environment.
