Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in data centre networking and who is hands-on with MPLS, VPLS, and cross-connects. A strong knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP is essential, along with experience in firewall configuration and troubleshooting. Expertise with Mellanox and Meraki switches, as well as skills in VLAN segmentation, link aggregation, and QoS strategies, is required.
While not mandatory, familiarity with automation tools like Ansible and Terraform, as well as experience in software-defined storage (Cloudian, QuantaStor) and hybrid cloud networking (AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute) would be advantageous. Relevant certifications such as CCNP, JNCIS, or equivalent are also desirable.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to design, deploy, and maintain our data centre networking infrastructure (Layer 2 & Layer 3). You will manage and optimize our MPLS and VPLS networks, provision and manage cross-connects with infrastructure providers and peering partners, and configure and administer firewalls (including rules, VPNs, HA, and traffic shaping). You will be responsible for managing our enterprise switching environments (Mellanox and Meraki), collaborating with systems/platform teams for scalable deployments, and ensuring network security, redundancy, and compliance. Additionally, I will need you to document network topology, standards, and troubleshooting procedures, and support migrations, incident response, and performance tuning.
