Requirements
Must:
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong experience in Microsoft Fabric workloads, including Lakehouse, Data Factory, Pipelines, Notebooks, and Semantic Models. You should possess advanced skills in PySpark and Spark SQL for large-scale transformations and have experience integrating with Dynamics 365, Dataverse, and/or Business Central. Additionally, familiarity with CI/CD implementation using Azure DevOps or GitHub, along with a solid understanding of dimensional modeling and Power BI optimization, is essential.
Desirable qualifications include Microsoft Fabric certifications, familiarity with Azure services and the Power Platform, as well as experience in consultancy environments and large enterprise data estates.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to design end-to-end data architectures using Medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) patterns. You will build metadata-driven ingestion pipelines and transformation frameworks while developing advanced PySpark/Spark SQL notebooks for data cleansing and modeling. Additionally, you’ll create production-ready semantic models and support BI teams. Implementing governance, security, and CI/CD best practices will also be part of your responsibilities, as well as engaging with clients to translate their business requirements into effective technical solutions.

This is a hybrid position based in Hampshire, UK, and is a permanent role with a salary of up to £75,000. I’m looking for someone who will not only design and deliver modern cloud data platforms for our enterprise clients but also optimize data pipelines and create high-quality models that support advanced analytics and reporting. You will play a hands-on, client-facing role, leading technical discussions and delivering robust, maintainable solutions to help organizations modernize their legacy systems and adopt best practices in data engineering.
