Requirements
Must:
- 8+ years of experience in data-focused roles, with at least 3-5 years in leadership positions.
- Strong background in data engineering, analytics, or data science.
- Proven experience in scaling data teams and platforms in high-growth environments.
- Deep understanding of cloud data technologies (AWS, GCP, or Azure), modern data stacks, and data governance frameworks.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business terms.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute a company-wide data strategy aligned with our business goals.
- Champion a data-driven culture, ensuring our teams understand and effectively use data.
- Lead and mentor our Data Engineering, Analytics, Data Science, and Data Governance teams.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of scalable data infrastructure, pipelines, and platforms (e.g., cloud data warehouses, streaming systems, ML platforms).
- Ensure data architecture supports performance, security, and cost efficiency.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies, tools, and best practices.
- Deliver reliable and accurate analytics to support product, marketing, finance, and operations.
- Partner with business leaders to define KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks.
- Support advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives.
- Establish data governance policies, ownership models, and data standards.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Implement data quality programs, monitoring, and remediation processes.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Compliance to prioritize data initiatives.
- Communicate data strategy and insights to executive leadership and stakeholders.
