Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Experience in a Data Engineering (or similar) role
- Strong scripting skills in SQL and Python
- Experience designing and developing ETL/ELT processes using the Azure platform, including Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, or Fabric
- Knowledge of data lakes and medallion lake house design
- Working knowledge of Power BI or similar tools (desirable)
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
- Microsoft Certifications (desirable but not essential)
Responsibilities
As a passionate Data Engineer in our growing Microsoft Partner Consultancy, you will:
- Collaborate as part of our specialist Data Practice in an Agile team to deliver modern data solutions for our clients, enabling better decision-making and driving innovation.
- Work on projects end-to-end, running workshops to gather requirements, and progressing through solution design, development, implementation, and support.
- Engage in projects that typically encompass data ingestion, data storage (such as building new data lakes or data warehouses), data processing, data management, analytics, and visualization using the latest technologies, including Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, Fabric, Databricks, and Power BI.
Description
This role is home-based, with some travel to client sites and company events as needed, and we are able to consider candidates across the UK. It would be especially suitable for Data Engineers seeking their first step into consultancy or those ready to advance their careers. As a Microsoft Partner, we are dedicated to supporting you through your Microsoft Certifications, emphasizing both personal and professional development. We offer a salary of up to £55,000 depending on experience, an annual salary review, a bonus of up to 10%, a pension plan with 5% matched contributions, 25 days of holiday, a home working allowance, enhanced parental pay and leave, and support towards industry certifications. Please note that this is a permanent role for UK residents only, and we are unable to offer sponsorship. Successful candidates must possess the right to work in the UK without restrictions. Some roles may be subject to successful background checks, including a DBS and Credit Check.
