Requirements
Must:
We expect candidates to have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Privileged Access Management (PAM) consulting and implementation, focused on infrastructure assessments and solution design. You should possess deep expertise in Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) models, along with a strong understanding of on-premises hosting environments. Hands-on experience with Windows, Linux, Solaris, and AIX is essential. Familiarity with Active Directory, LDAP, SSH key management, and service account governance is desired. You should also be proficient with PAM tools such as CyberArk, BeyondTrust, and Delinea. Knowledge of identity federation and authentication protocols (Kerberos, SAML, OAuth) and exceptional analytical, documentation, and presentation skills are required.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will perform in-depth assessments of privileged access across our enterprise infrastructure, identifying gaps and risks in access provisioning, especially concerning elevated permissions. You will recommend improvements utilizing RBAC, ABAC, and least privilege principles. Your responsibilities will include designing PAM architectures that support secure delegation across various platforms, evaluating and comparing PAM solutions for technical fit and scalability, and producing detailed documentation, including architecture diagrams, risk assessments, and implementation roadmaps. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be key to aligning PAM strategies with our business and technical goals. Additionally, you will support proof of concept (PoC) and pilot deployments to validate solution effectiveness and provide expert guidance on credential vaulting, session monitoring, access workflows, and policy enforcement.
Description
We are looking for a seasoned PAM Consultant for a contract role based in Shropshire, requiring 3 days a week onsite. This high-impact position focuses on reducing risk, enhancing operational security, and aligning access control with modern best practices. You will work closely with our infrastructure, security, and operations teams to evaluate current access models, identify over-privileged accounts, and architect scalable PAM strategies tailored to our diverse on-premises systems. The role is pivotal in enhancing our security measures and ensuring the integrity of our access controls.
