Requirements

Must:
- Experience using observability tools and techniques, with the ability to utilize data, information, and user sentiment to continuously enhance solutions. - In-depth knowledge of public cloud vendors including GCP, AWS, and Azure. - Extensive experience with networking technologies such as LAN, WAN, MPLS, BGP, wireless, load balancing, and firewalls, ideally including F5 and Fortinet. - Proficient in tools such as Grafana, Thousand Eyes, SolarWinds, Prometheus, CloudWatch, Splunk, and ServiceNow. - Strong collaborative communication skills for articulating technical concepts clearly to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

- I will manage a team, developing skillsets and capabilities to support our strategic outcomes. - I will ensure continuous learning and development to enhance technical skills. - I will support strategic observability by maintaining a strong awareness of our services, creating operational views of data, and establishing targets for the team. - I will provide operational support for product and service issues and act as a technical escalation point for the technologies supported by my team. - I will liaise with SysOps leadership, product owners, and other stakeholders to maintain and manage the workload backlog for the team, focusing on introducing automation and removing inefficiencies. - Familiarity with DevOps practices, such as CI/CD pipelines, and experience with Python, Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell would be advantageous.

Description


As a Lead Network Engineer, I will contribute to and manage the selection, creation, and maintenance of technologies essential to meeting the needs of our customers, strategic targets, and architecture outcomes. I will also develop products utilizing modern engineering practices and tools. Collaboration with product owners to develop product roadmaps will be key, as will managing the lifecycle of the team's products. Additionally, I will support engineered products in responding to customer feedback and new feature requests, resolve production issues, and help customers seamlessly consume our products. Our company is reputable and located in Edinburgh, UK. The position offers a salary range of £54,000 to £80,000 yearly, and it is a permanent role.
