Requirements
Must:
- Typically 5-10 years of experience as a software engineer
- 5-10 years of experience in regulated financial services environments (investment banks, hedge funds, trading platforms, SaaS vendors to capital markets)
- Experience must be specific to financial services, not just general IT/telecoms
- Strong knowledge of Java development
- Familiarity with FX/Swaps applications
- Ability to write unit and integration tests
- Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Exceptional communication skills
Responsibilities
- Work as a hands-on fullstack Java developer on FX/Swaps platforms
- Deliver Jira-assigned tasks with minimal hand-holding
- Analyze requirements and existing code
- Design and implement solutions in Java
- Write unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews
- Handle simple to medium complexity work independently
- Escalate complex or architectural topics to senior engineers
- Collaborate closely with senior engineers for design guidance
- Work with UI/React contractors for backend-UI integration
- Engage with Product, QA, and other stakeholders in the FX/Swaps area
- Communicate clearly on progress, risks, and blockers
Description
