Requirements
Must:
- Hands-on experience delivering Ansible-based automation.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Go, Bash, or similar.
- Previous exposure to working with global teams.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of automation, from testing through to implementation.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to assess workflows and identify automation opportunities.
- Architect and implement robust, high-performance automation solutions.
- Apply security-by-default practices across all automation work.
- Continuously monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise automated workflows for reliability and scalability.
- Champion strong documentation standards and contribute to a culture of quality and ownership.
Description
We are seeking an Automation Engineer who excels at turning complex operational workflows into secure, scalable, and dependable automated solutions. In this hybrid role, you will work three days per week on-site in York, collaborating closely with product stakeholders and engineering teams to design automation that ensures consistent high-quality performance at scale. This is a contract position located in East Yorkshire, UK.
