Requirements
Must:
- Good oral and written communication at all levels
- Customer focused
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Experience working with IT systems, networks, and various software
- Proven experience of networking operating systems including Windows Server
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange Server, ADSL internet connectivity, and installing both operating system and application software
- Proven ability in working with Windows and Office applications
- Full, valid driving license and passport
Responsibilities
- Ensure all site users’ PCs/laptops are up to date
- Maintain site servers
- Keep the site antivirus package up to date for all users and servers
- Report to line manager regarding work tasks and priorities
- Ensure daily backups are successfully completed and stored for disaster recovery needs
- Set up and update all site computers with the latest patches and security fixes
- Provide high quality, customer-focused service to all IT users
- Keep site servers up to date with security fixes and patches
- Rectify all user IT problems, covering all aspects of IT hardware and software
- Monitor site network for risks including viruses and malware
- Work with suppliers to secure optimal equipment and pricing
- Build, configure, and install PCs, laptops, and servers as required
- Adhere to the group’s IT policy and report non-compliance to the line manager
- Collaborate with line manager to determine weekly project priorities
- Assist with the maintenance and functionality of the site’s email servers
- Undertake required IT maintenance and administration tasks
- Ensure that site links to the internet are maintained and functioning at all times
